At the beginning, our team will pick you up at your hotel in El Calafate, starting the adventure to El Chaltén. You will enjoy a picturesque trip along the mythical Route 40, bordering Lake Argentino and crossing the imposing Santa Cruz and La Leona Rivers. The trip takes 2 ½ hours along 213km that connect both towns. We will stop at the historic Parador La Leona to admire panoramic views of the Andes Mountains and the iconic Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.ㅤ.
Stop at Parador La Leona
Parador La Leona, located on Argentina's famous Patagonia Route 40, is much more than just a stop along the way. With a history dating back to the early 20th century, this iconic establishment has witnessed countless stories and adventures over the years that you will discover.
Stop and view the majestic scenery offered by Mount Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre and needles.
At this stop, before arriving to El Chaltén, you will be able to contemplate the most impressive panoramic views of this picturesque town, where the imposing presence of Cerro Torre, the majestic Mount Fitz Roy and the iconic needles that surround them create a dream landscape.
Arrival to El Chaltén, national trekking capital.
After traveling 213 km, we will arrive in El Chaltén, where we will begin by exploring the National Park Visitor Center. Here, you will learn about the history of the town and the famous surrounding hills. We will enjoy a 1-hour guided hike to the Mirador de los Cóndores, with magnificent views of the imposing Fitz Roy.
Refreshing lunch
After the hike, we will recharge our batteries with a delicious lunch at Rancho Grande, one of the town's pioneer restaurants. With its rustic charm and cozy atmosphere, in the restaurant you will have a gastronomic experience focused on delicious homemade food to relax and replenish your energy for the next activity.
Towards the Chorrillo del Salto waterfall
The trail leading to Chorrillo del Salto is accessible and easy to walk. Along the trail, visitors can enjoy the scenery of native forests and mountains surrounding the waterfall. Exploring downtown El Chaltén
We return to downtown El Chaltén, where you will have free time to explore the center of town. A meeting point will be assigned for the return to El Calafate.

Duration:Enjoy a full day with a duration of 12 hours. Please note that the pick up time at your hotel may vary by up to 30 minutes. From May 1st the starting time is from 8:00 am.
Difficulty level:Adventure with a medium difficulty level. It is important to mention that the tour does not have wheelchair access nor is it adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Age:El Chaltén Full Day + Viewpoints is designed for people between 8 and 60 years old. Pregnant women, people with cardiovascular diseases are not recommended to participate.
